Role: Registered Nurse in a Critical Care Step Down Unit.
Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis. Utilize skills in EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies. Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management. Collaborate with nursing assistants, interns, providers, and therapy staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure in Ohio, BLS certification (obtained within 90 days), ACLS certification (within 6 months), and at least 1 year of relevant RN experience (for PRN). Preferred qualifications include a BSN and Magnet-recognized professional certification.
Work Environment: 14-bed unit equipped with advanced technology such as patient lifts, virtual whiteboards, telemetry monitoring, and communication tools. Work hours include rotating shifts with weekends and holidays.
