Role Overview:
A qualified Nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while managing long-term goals and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, or caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
