Role Overview:
The X-Ray Tech performs primary diagnostic imaging to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. They create a calming environment to ensure patient comfort and compliance during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify anatomical orientation and ensure proper image file identification
- Greet patients, obtain medical history, and input data into the system
- Perform high-quality x-rays while minimizing radiation exposure
- Provide patient care, education, and follow-up instructions
- Offer coverage for staffing needs and mentor new hires
- Ensure procedures meet standards of care, regulatory, and ethical guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Review and communicate examination results accurately to care team
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or BS degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
- ARRT certification
- At least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience
