This role involves providing direct patient care in a pediatric surgical setting, with responsibilities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Key duties:
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional factors.
- Maintain communication across the continuum of care and engage in professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- Minimum of 1 year Operating Room nursing experience, preferably in Orthopedics.
- Preferred: BSN degree and less than 2 years of experience.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential.
