OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner

Role: The Nurse Practitioner – Women’s Health (NPWH) provides comprehensive, age-appropriate women’s health care services to OB/GYN patients, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and health education.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical care such as health histories, examinations, screenings, diagnostics, vaccinations, and follow-up.
  • Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and preventive OB/GYN conditions per clinical guidelines.
  • Perform procedures within scope of practice and make appropriate referrals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, compliance with policies, and participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members, provide clinical coverage across sites, and participate in outreach initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development, maintain licensure, and contribute to organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
  • National certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
  • Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and excellent communication.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation systems.
  • Experience in community health settings preferred; bilingual skills in English/Spanish are a plus.
