Role Overview: A registered nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while managing contingencies and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
- Address patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs at their level of practice.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess educational needs and provide information to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members to optimize patient management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of one year of related nursing experience preferred.
- Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS and PALS are required within specified timeframes.
- Experience in perioperative or surgical settings is advantageous.
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
