Role Overview:
This registered nurse (RN) role involves providing holistic, culturally sensitive patient care utilizing a comprehensive nursing process. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, diagnosing problems, planning and implementing individualized care, and evaluating outcomes. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, documents accurately in electronic records, and supports patient discharge planning. The role also requires maintaining competency through ongoing education, adhering to policies, and ensuring safety standards.
- Qualifications: Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification (ACLS within 6 months for ICU/step-down), and ongoing professional growth. A BSN is required within five years for nurses hired after January 2010; voluntary pursuit of BSN or higher degrees is encouraged.
