Role Overview: The RN Resident is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care while completing a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, using evidence-based practices.
- Deliver patient and family-centered care tailored to diverse populations, fostering effective communication and partnership.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting performance improvement initiatives.
- Support professional development by completing competency assessments, mandatory education, and serving as a preceptor or mentor.
- Promote evidence-based practice, participate in research, and ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and safety goals.
- Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum, contributing to protocol development and resource management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure (single or multi-state), BLS certification, and other required certifications.
- Less than one year of RN experience.
- Strong critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
