We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a skilled nursing facility’s rehabilitation team.
Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment programs to enhance residents’ activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, and independence. Document therapy sessions and resident progress accurately, participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions. Provide education to residents and caregivers on therapy techniques and treatment plans. Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications when appropriate. Maintain therapy supplies, equipment, and treatment areas, ensuring compliance with facility policies and documentation standards. Possess a current COTA license in good standing and certification through AOTCB. Preferred experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings, with knowledge of MDS, PRI, and care planning. Skills & Qualifications: Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to educate residents and caregivers effectively. Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
