Role Overview: Provides patient care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses, performing basic clinical tasks and assisting with procedures to support patient flow in a clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital signs, weigh patients, and collect specimens, including phlebotomy.
- Assist providers during examinations and treatments, and support patient care activities.
- Answer calls, record messages, and help schedule tests, results, and pre-certifications.
- Document patient information accurately and assist with medication refills.
- Administer medications and immunizations as ordered by providers.
- Clean and restock exam rooms, maintain equipment, and order supplies, adhering to sterile techniques and protocols.
- Perform routine clerical duties such as managing patient charts and completing forms.
- Participate in meetings, training, and perform additional assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of employment or a compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Competency in clinical procedures, patient care, and documentation.
