Role: Staff RN responsible for providing direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process to care for residents, administer medications and treatments, document care accurately, and monitor resident conditions.
Communicate assessment findings to charge nurses and supervisors, coordinate resident assignments based on needs and staff competency, and ensure proper documentation of activities such as ADLs and meal intake.
Respond promptly to resident concerns, demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, and maintain punctuality and proper communication regarding attendance.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an approved nursing program, licensed and registered in New York State. Experience with geriatric care is preferred but not required. Strong desire to work with elderly, chronically ill, and disabled populations. Knowledge of medical, social, psychological needs, infection control, and general nursing principles. Excellent verbal communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
