Role Overview:
Provides general radiology and fluoroscopic imaging across various hospital areas including radiology, emergency, surgery, and bedside services. Responsible for performing diagnostic examinations by positioning patients, selecting optimal technical factors, reviewing clinical history, and collaborating with radiologists and nurses. Ensures patient safety by following protocols, verifying patient identity, maintaining confidentiality, and preparing necessary supplies. Assists during fluoroscopic procedures, operates imaging equipment, and reviews images for interpretation. Maintains equipment, reports malfunctions, and adheres to safety standards to minimize radiation exposure. Offers compassionate patient care, explains procedures, and ensures patient comfort. Participates in resuscitation efforts and on-call rotations. Engages in ongoing education and departmental meetings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent experience
- Radiographer license and ARRT certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in trauma, fluoroscopy, and surgery preferred
