Role Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacist II provides expert pharmaceutical care by collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use. They offer consultation, monitor patient outcomes, and participate in educational programs to enhance pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and staff on medication prescribing, administration, and monitoring.
- Ensure safe and effective medication management, demonstrating advanced drug knowledge.
- Participate in educational activities and provide training within the Pharmacy Department.
- Perform drug distribution, supervision, and non-dispensing functions as part of clinical duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy; Doctorate (Pharm.D.) preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience preferred.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Cerner, medical terminology, and pharmacy equipment.
- Strong critical thinking, communication skills, and self-direction.
