Patient Access Representative

Role Overview:


The Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact for patients and their families, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, accurately entering and updating patient demographic and financial information, collecting liabilities, and coordinating with clinical and administrative departments to facilitate patient care. They provide directions and assist with hospital information, manage patient admission and bed assignments, and maintain accurate records to meet audit standards. The role also involves maintaining a safe environment and supporting various operational duties as needed.


Qualifications & Skills:


  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 6+ months in customer service, office, or call center roles
  • Proficiency with Windows applications
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Full vaccination against flu (and boosters if required)
  • Age 18 or older

  • Preferred Experience:


  • 1+ years hospital or medical registration experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
