Role Overview: The Clinical Practice Preferred Coordinator partners with clinic teams to support quality patient care initiatives, outreach, and clinical documentation. They assist in completing health screens, updating electronic health records, and coordinating patient care with interdisciplinary teams. The role involves performing medical procedures within a Medical Assistant’s scope, maintaining equipment, ensuring confidentiality, and supporting infection control. The Coordinator collaborates across clinic locations, participates in quality projects, and helps achieve care benchmarks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Current BLS certification
- 3+ years certified Medical Assistant experience or 5 years combined MA experience with at least 2 years certified
- Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with physicians to facilitate preventive care and health screenings
- Outreach to external providers for patient records
- Update and maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient data
- Coordinate patient care and support quality improvement initiatives
- Perform clinical procedures such as specimen collection, EKGs, and equipment checks
- Ensure infection control and proper room preparation
- Support team communication and patient confidentiality
- Rotate across clinic locations as needed
