Role Summary:
The Nurse independently practices in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations.
They develop long-term care plans, manage clinical contingencies, and delegate responsibilities to care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care following the ANA standards, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient information accurately, including history, symptoms, and care provided.
- Assess educational needs and provide relevant education to patients and families, identifying resources and issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
