The Certified Surgical Tech plays a crucial role in assisting with surgical procedures by demonstrating fundamental skills in the scrub role.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining aseptic technique and preparing necessary equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases. Scrubbing, passing instruments, and supporting surgical team during procedures. Pulling cases, breaking down setups post-operation, and setting up operating rooms for upcoming schedules. Assisting with case setup and breakdown, and performing additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and skills include: Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program. Certification in Surgical Technology and BLS from AHA. Preferred: 1 year of experience and an associate degree.
