Role Overview: A registered nurse responsible for providing independent and comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting. Demonstrates proficiency in clinical judgment, manages contingencies, and delegates tasks appropriately to care team members.
- Key Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to deliver quality care. Address patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor outcomes, and document all care activities. Assess and educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote understanding and compliance.
- Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; minimum of 1 year experience in a relevant specialty is desirable. Must hold a valid RN license (state or compact) and BLS certification. Ability to work independently, adapt to complex situations, and provide patient-centered education.
