Role Overview:

The Physical Therapy Assistant provides skilled education, treatment, and interventions under the direction of a physical therapist and physician, focusing on patient safety and functional improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Administers direct physical therapy services as prescribed

Communicates regularly with patients and caregivers about the care plan

Provides treatments, therapies, and education on assistive devices

Reports patient observations and progress to supervisors and physicians

Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to optimize care

Prepares discharge plans and instructions

Maintains detailed documentation and records

Participates in in-service training and adheres to professional standards

Ensures confidentiality and timely reporting of patient status

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current, unrestricted state license
Valid CPR certification
Professional conduct and strong communication skills
