Role Overview
The Speech Therapist delivers quality patient care based on physician orders, including assessments, treatments, care planning, and family training. Responsibilities involve providing prescribed speech therapy services, developing evaluation reports and plans of care, coordinating with healthcare teams, and maintaining confidentiality. The role includes communication with physicians, staff, and families, serving as a clinical resource, and documenting patient progress.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited institution
- Current, unrestricted SLP license in the state of practice
- CPR certification
Preferred Experience
- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting
