We are seeking a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide clinical support and professional nursing care under the supervision of providers and RNs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing nursing duties such as injections, medication administration, EKGs, phlebotomy, and procedures within state scope.
- Implementing patient education plans and coordinating care including referrals, medications, and follow-ups.
- Documenting assessments, preparing patients for exams, and relaying information to providers.
- Performing focused assessments, evaluating patient responses, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Maintaining a safe environment, ensuring patient confidentiality, and practicing infection control.
- Managing medications, immunizations, lab sample collection, and IV therapy if certified.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with an active and unrestricted LVN/LPN license.
- Current BLS certification; IV certification if required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and electronic medical records.
- Strong communication, customer service, and emergency response skills.
- Ability to perform medical procedures, give injections, and draw blood.
- Must meet health screening requirements, including immunizations and TB testing.
Preferred qualifications include:
- IV certification and 2+ years of medical experience.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
