Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Role: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, effective, and patient-centered care using the nursing process, evaluating care effectiveness, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. They uphold patient rights, maintain confidentiality, and align duties with organizational standards.

Responsibilities: Care delivery in a 24-bed Emergency Department treating diverse, complex conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurosurgical, renal, and medical emergencies. The RN assesses patient needs, administers treatments, and collaborates with team members to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills: Must have a nursing degree (associate’s, diploma, or BSN), current RN licensure, and Basic Life Support certification. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and others may be required based on departmental needs. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various movements is essential.

Key Duties: Evaluate patient conditions, administer care, coordinate with healthcare teams, uphold patient rights, and perform duties in line with organizational standards. The role demands professionalism, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.
