Role Overview
The LPN provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or direction of a licensed or registered nurse.
They ensure professional accountability for patient care and coordinate with other departments to deliver effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and implement care plans.
- Maintain licensure and certifications, including BLS and other unit-specific credentials.
- Assist with patient mobility, lifting, and repositioning, adhering to physical demands.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality care and safety.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience.
- Current LPN licensure and valid CPR certification.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
- Preferred certifications include IV certification within one year of hire.
