Role Overview:
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and adheres to organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Engages patients and families in care decisions, assesses educational needs, documents care plans with goals and interventions, and performs shift handoffs using safety tools.
Communicates effectively with the healthcare team, participates in process improvements, and completes required certifications and competencies. Delegates tasks to unlicensed staff and participates in patient rounds, ensuring proper interpretation of diagnostic data.
Qualifications:
Graduated from an accredited nursing program, holds a current RN license, and maintains necessary certifications such as BLS, with additional certifications depending on the unit. Physical ability to lift, stand, and perform clinical duties is required.
