Role: Assists the Chief Nursing Officer in delivering safe, quality, and cost-efficient patient care by ensuring competent staffing and resource utilization.
Responsibilities: Ensures availability of qualified personnel, participates in patient care when needed, and resolves complex issues involving patients, staff, and physicians. Monitors department budgets, participates in quality improvement activities, and develops quality indicators. Analyzes patient care needs and staff capabilities, promotes staff development, and maintains effective relationships with hospital personnel and community resources. Oversees compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, and addresses patient concerns. Conducts staff interviews, completes evaluations, and intervenes as necessary to uphold care standards and customer service. Ensures staff safety and professionalism in attire and hygiene.
Qualifications: Graduate of an approved nursing school, current RN license, minimum three years nursing experience, with preferred leadership background. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required within 90 days. Demonstrates strong communication and clinical skills, with a broad understanding of patient care processes.
