Role Overview:
Seeking detail-oriented Surgical Technologists to join the Operating Room team. Responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, preparing OR equipment and supplies, assisting with instrument counts, and supporting patient positioning and transport. Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure safety, infection control, and OR readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain sterile environment and follow aseptic protocols
- Assist with instrument, sponge, and sharps counts
- Support patient positioning, transport, and specimen handling
- Ensure equipment functionality and supply management
- Use computerized systems in compliance with policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with two years’ surgical technologist experience
- Graduation from an accredited surgical tech program with certification or in process
- Military surgical technology training welcomed
- BLS certification required (post-hire)
Skills & Abilities: Effective communication, ability to react in emergencies, basic math skills, dependability, and safe judgment in decision-making.
