Role Overview:
The Clinical Dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy across diverse patient populations in inpatient and home care settings. They manage nutritional care, perform screenings, develop care plans, and deliver nutrition education tailored to patients of all ages. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, assisting in menu planning, monitoring food quality, participating in care conferences, and contributing to staff training and patient education materials. The dietitian also consults for home care and represents the hospital on the Diabetes Team, ensuring high-quality nutrition services and patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (IDFPR) and Registered Dietitian (CDR)
- Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Creativity in guiding diverse age groups toward balanced diets
- Excellent communication, monitoring, and teaching skills
