Seeking a Neuro RN to provide specialized patient care in a neuro/pulmonary stroke unit. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, evaluating care effectiveness, coordinating with departments, and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. The role involves caring for patients with conditions like stroke, TIA, COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia, often requiring complex assessments and interventions such as high flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, and chest tubes. The nurse collaborates with stroke coordinators, performs frequent assessments, and provides patient education.
Qualifications include a nursing degree (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN), current RN licensure, and BLS certification.
