Position Overview: This role involves caring for a 50-bed unit specializing in cardiac, pulmonary, and medical-surgical patients, primarily adults over 17 years. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-6 in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that emphasizes strong communication and collaboration.
Responsibilities include: Performing comprehensive assessments, managing cardiac drips and devices, preparing patients for procedures, administering medications, and documenting care accurately. The role requires implementing and adjusting care plans, ensuring patient and staff safety, and providing patient education and discharge instructions. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and effective communication are essential.
Qualifications: Active RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, ACLS within one year, Associate’s Degree or higher, with experience in cardiac and pulmonary care preferred. Skills include proficiency with telemetry, IV pumps, cardiac devices, and EMR systems.
