Role Overview:
The CT Tech performs diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation, ensuring high-quality imaging with independence and technical expertise. They support the clinical team by operating CT equipment, reviewing images, and adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities include patient preparation, education, and comfort, maintaining accurate records, and following departmental protocols for imaging, contrast administration, and infection control. The role requires proficiency in sectional anatomy, imaging techniques, contrast protocols, and electronic systems, along with effective communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
– ARRT certification (RT)(R), BCLS, IV competency, and relevant state licensure
– Preferred: ARRT (R)(CT) certification, 1-2 years CT experience
– Ability to operate CT equipment, respond to emergent situations, and maintain a safe environment
– Strong manual dexterity, physical ability to assist patients, and effective communication skills.
