Role: The RN – Hospice provides skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes, following physician prescriptions and nursing standards.
Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, manage pain and symptoms, document care electronically, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate end-of-life care.
Qualifications: Graduation from an approved nursing school, current state licensure, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred experience includes hospice or long-term care, with strong assessment and communication skills.
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of hospice philosophy, excellent observation and documentation skills, self-directed work ethic, flexibility, and teamwork capability.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks like reaching and bending.
