Position Overview
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Coordinates care with other departments and evaluates the effectiveness of care delivered by team members. Performs duties aligned with organizational mission, values, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop care plans.
- Deliver direct patient care in labor and delivery settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and confidentiality protocols.
- Evaluate and support the performance of caregiving staff.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an approved nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license in the applicable state or compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform bending, reaching, kneeling, and twisting.
