Role Overview:
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care with other departments, upholds patient rights and confidentiality, and aligns duties with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
– Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate treatment.
– Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold care standards.
– Perform duties consistent with organizational mission and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN).
– Current RN license in the relevant state or compact licensure.
– Ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods.
– Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), with additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or others depending on department requirements.
Additional Requirements:
– Physical ability to perform various movements such as reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting.
– Preferred experience and certifications vary based on specific unit needs.
