Inpatient Cardiovascular Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional patient care by utilizing the nursing process, technology, and resources within the healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include conducting initial assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, documenting care accurately, and modifying plans based on ongoing evaluations.

Key duties involve ensuring patient and staff safety, communicating effectively with the healthcare team, offering constructive feedback, and maintaining departmental competencies.

RNs will perform direct care for CVMS patients, including post-op CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery cases, while maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications include an active RN license, ACLS (within 1 year), BLS (within 30 days), and a high school diploma or GED.

Skills required are strong communication, teamwork, safety awareness, adaptability, and initiative for professional growth.
