Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- NBCOT certification required upon hire; renewal is optional
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
- Active state licensure in good standing
- Preferred: one year of post-acute care experience
- CPR certification upon hire, maintained throughout employment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, assess, and modify patient treatment plans and goals
- Oversee therapy provided by OTAs, aides, and students
- Document patient progress accurately and timely
- Utilize therapy software effectively
- Maintain professional relationships and confidentiality
- Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate
- Ensure safety, patient rights, and sanitation standards
- Assist in emergency evacuations and work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service
Ability to perform physical activities, communicate effectively in English, and adhere to policies is essential for success in this role.
