CT Technologist

The CT Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality cross-sectional images to aid in diagnosing diseases across various healthcare locations.

  • They operate CT scanners and auxiliary devices safely, adhering to protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating patient examinations efficiently, responding promptly to contrast reactions, and maintaining equipment performance.
  • They participate in ongoing training, contribute to staff education, and support departmental projects and initiatives.
  • The role involves setting equipment parameters, educating patients, and ensuring optimal workflow to reduce patient stay.
  • Candidates must have a high school diploma or radiologic technology certification, with preferred qualifications including experience in CT procedures and a degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification in CT (ARRT) and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist are required, along with BLS certification.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in RIS, PACS, and EMR systems, are essential.
