The registered nurse in the Med Surg department works the night shift (1830-0700) and is responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and therapeutic patient care using the nursing process and organizational policies.
They must demonstrate clinical competence and critical thinking, collaborating effectively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications include being a new RN graduate or in good standing with an active Arkansas license; BSN preferred.
The RN applies basic skills to meet care standards, understands departmental procedures, and participates as a full team member.
Additional requirements include Healthcare CPR, with some areas requiring ACLS, PALS, or NALS training; specialty units offer specific education.
This position is authorized for 72 hours bi-weekly.
