The Surgical Technologist role is based in the Surgery Department at the main campus, working full-time with a 36-hour schedule.
They assist surgeons during pediatric intraoperative procedures by maintaining sterile technique, preparing age-appropriate instrumentation, and passing supplies according to physician preferences.
The position emphasizes teamwork, open communication, and customer service for patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Responsibilities include collaborating with the care team, participating in quality improvement, and acting as a role model, educator, and patient advocate.
Work hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM, with potential call responsibilities across campuses.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program, hold or obtain CST certification, and preferably have CPR certification within two weeks of starting.
