The Language, Speech and Hearing Specialist diagnoses and treats students with communication challenges to support their learning.
Conducts assessments, develops individualized educational plans (IEPs), and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents. Provides remediation through individual and group instruction, modifies strategies for success, and evaluates student progress regularly. Serves as a resource for staff and parents, offers inservice training, and participates in clinics and team meetings. Maintains compliance with regulations, manages records, and pursues ongoing professional development. Qualifications include appropriate state credentialing.
