This role is for a Physician in a clinical setting, responsible for independently diagnosing and treating acute conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu symptoms, and minor injuries.
Requires graduation from an accredited medical school and 2-5 years of post-residency experience, with adult and pediatric practice preferred.
Must hold or be eligible for Board certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine, and possess active state medical licensure.
Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine and proficiency with office procedures like suturing and splinting are essential.
Key duties include examining patients, taking histories, ordering diagnostic tests, diagnosing, prescribing medications, treating injuries, documenting progress, educating patients, and supervising PA/NP colleagues remotely.
Work shifts are typically 8 or 12 hours, with additional responsibilities as assigned.
Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills are important, along with knowledge of electronic medical records.
