This position supports the management of Pulmonary Critical Care Service Line patients, assisting with admissions, patient rounds, consults, history and physicals, and discharges under the scope of practice.
Requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant program, current Tennessee licensure, national certification in a specialty area, and continuing education.
Certifications required are ACLS and BLS. Skills include assessment of critically ill patients, intubation, central line and arterial line placement, ventilator management, and adherence to care protocols, with strong communication and computer skills.
Experience of 1-3 years in healthcare or medical nursing, with critical care experience preferred. The role is based at a medical center’s Pulmonology Unit, full-time days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
