The Recreational Therapist (CTRS) provides therapeutic recreation services within a 84-bed psychiatric facility.
Evaluates and implements programs to enhance patients’ physical and mental health based on physician directives.
Develops treatment plans with clear short and long-term goals, tailoring activities to patient needs.
Conducts group and individual recreation activities, ensuring effective planning and scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team and participates in intern education.
Responsible for modifying activities based on patient responses to mental health or behavioral issues.
**Requirements:**
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy or related field from an accredited university.
Board-certified and licensed as a CTRS by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
