Certified Nurse Practitioner

Provides medical evaluations for alleged child abuse victims as part of a multidisciplinary team, reporting to the Executive Director.

  • Requires a Certified Nurse Practitioner license with preferred specialty training in child abuse.
  • Performs physical exams, takes histories, documents findings, and conducts diagnostic tests, including colposcopic evaluations and photography.
  • Prepares timely, detailed, legally acceptable reports with findings and treatment recommendations, collaborating with community professionals.
  • Participates in supervision, peer review, ongoing training, and quality assurance activities to ensure best practices.
