Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient addiction medicine services in Taos, NM. No prior addiction experience is required; training will be provided. The role involves clinical assessment, diagnosing, and managing patients seeking Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders, including opioids, alcohol, stimulants, and benzodiazepines.

Prescribe and monitor MAT medications, ensuring proper dosing and adherence.

Conduct comprehensive assessments and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Educate patients on their condition, treatment plans, and lifestyle changes.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.

Provide crisis intervention when needed and participate in quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree, active license in NM, and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with some in addiction medicine preferred.
