The RN – Team Coordinator is responsible for overseeing patient care and guiding nursing staff to ensure compassionate, patient-centered services on each shift.
They practice autonomously within professional standards, regulatory guidelines, and organizational policies, demonstrating critical thinking and evidence-based nursing skills.
Key duties include supervising nursing care, facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, mentoring staff, and participating in quality improvement initiatives and educational programs.
They serve as a role model, promote shared governance, and support department projects, maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.
Requirements include a valid RN license, BLS certification, with ACLS within a year, a healthcare-related degree (BSN preferred), and at least 2 years of clinical experience. Supervisory or charge nurse experience, certification, and a commitment to continuing education are preferred.
Shift is night, with rotating weekends. The role involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team at a medical center.
